Although Cambodia has made great progress in the past decade, there are still improvements needed in health services, health infrastructure, and the overall health and well being of the population. The lack of water and sanitation is a major problem affecting Cambodia's population, especially particularly vulnerable groups, such as children. Many families do not have access to safe water and proper sanitation facilities, especially those in rural areas.

Analyzing Sanitation and Population Density: a Multi-Country Review

Research Overview

This study is a desk review of existing data, based on Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), census, and World Bank Water and Sanitation Program data. The purpose of the study is to more fully characterize the relationship between sanitation, population density, and fecal-associated health problems.
