Since Spril 2015, Erik has been the Principal Investigator on the TRAction study "Global Landscape Analysis of Quality within PBI Programs." 

Erik Josephson is a health financing expert with significant experience in both private and public sector finance. He has hands-on experience with health insurance, performance-based financing (PBF), resource allocation, expenditure tracking and costing. He has worked in health financing and performance management, at all levels of the health sector from the health facility to the senior levels of government. He brings specific expertise in developing and implementing financing mechanisms for health including both health insurance and results-based financing. Mr Josephson is, for his sins, a former investment banker with Goldman Sachs, Deputy Country Director for the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Rwanda, health financing advisor to the Haitian Ministry of Public Health and Population, the Liberian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Tanzanian Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. Mr. Josephson is fluent in English and French, and occasionally busts out some Spanish.
