Monica Okuga

Research Fellow/ Project Coordinator
Makerere University School of Public Health
Since July 2011, Monica has been involved in part time lecturing at the Makerere University School of Public Health and also provides technical support to the EQUIP project that aims at improving maternal and newborn health in rural eastern Uganda.
Monica has a background in human medicine (MBChB) with a masters in public health (MPH) from Makerere University, Uganda, and is preparing for a PhD with a focus on quality issues in maternal and newborn health. She previously worked as a coordinator of a PMTCT plus project funded by PLAN international and currently works as a coordinator for a 4 year EU funded EQUIP project as well as lecturing at the Makerere University School of Public Health.
