The Statement on Advancing Implementation Research and Delivery Science promotes a shared vision for a broader and more effective use of IRDS. It was promoted at the Third Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, held in Cape Town from September 30, 2021 - October 3, 2014. Download the statement here. View the signatories here.
The statement serves as a call to action for researchers, policymakers, implementers, funders, academics, editors and civil society at large. Since its release in Cape Town, it has gained support and been endorsed by a range of notable individuals and organizations.
The Statement on Advancing Implementation Research and Delivery Science was developed by the participants of a series of consultative meetings hosted by the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research within the World Health Organization, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the World Bank Group, with the facilitation of the USAID|TRAction Project and Johns Hopkins University. By changing the incentives and fostering an environment that puts IRDS at the forefront we can close the know-do gap and move one step closer to solving some of the world's most pressing health problems.
