This brief introduces the series of technical briefs that were developed to share lessons learned from the first three USAID|TRAction Project-funded HAP research projects from PATH, Impact Carbon, and Duke University. From 2011-2014, these research projects were implemented to identify behavior change strategies to increase the acquisition and correct use of clean cookstoves and fuels.
